4. The shinies in Gen 1-5 were calculated using an algorithm on the color wheel. I defer you to Lockstin’s vid on it. It’s why many older shinies are crap. But Gen 6 and after are hand picked, with a few exceptional changes like Charizard’s black shiny. Plusle and Minun (and apparently also Pikachu) just aren’t important enough 😂

    Because since G3 gamefreack used an alghoritm to set up the shinies instead of doing it manually. That's how we ended up with this dumb stuff

21. Because shinies back in the day were algorithmically generated.
