NPC Advantages: No requirements. gardevoir (life dew), bellibolt (light screen), sylveon (moonblast), intimidators (tauros, arcanine, staraptor), and drifblim (will-o-wisp) help. fire-weak pokemon (arboliva, heracross, weavile, corviknight) are harmful.
Strategy: throat chop, 2x screech, throat chop, screech, throat chop. from here on out throat chop every 3rd turn (can be skipped if the match is almost over). terastalize ASAP, bulldoze when safe to do so, tera blast until skeledirge resets its stats, redo the screeches. tera blast to victory.
Notes : due to skeledirge having unaware, there’s no need to worry about special defense debuffs from shadow ball or attack debuffs from stellar tera blast.
Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type. great HP and attack stats, outspeeds skeledirge. resists flame charge, torch song, and shadow ball. no weaknesses. shell bell heals when attacking, an amount equal to 1/8th of damage dealt. bulldoze debuffs speed 1 stage through shield while charging tera orb. throat chop blocks skeledirge from using hyper voice or torch song for 2-3 turns. stellar tera blast has 100 base power, 100 accuracy, and deals supereffective tera-boosted STAB damage when terastalized.
Cons: mediocre defense and special defense stats. screech misses 15% of the time. no room in moveset for chilling water or snarl. can’t buff its attack with swords dance because it can’t remove unaware from skeledirge.
I have an H Samurott as well actually. I like this one more for practicality; the bulldoze to maintain speed control and flexibility to rock with every npc combination possible. The Stellar maintains a great type match up also—which Im doing water tera which is risky with that 65 poultry sp def. im gonna do speed trials to surpass kyogre and this one is on the top of the list.
