Hey y’all! I have finally completed the video after a month of work! Here I have EVERY SINGLE UMA MUSUME IN GALLOP RACER (and Champion Jockey Special). Similar to Uma Musume, all of the horses in Gallop Racer also uses real life horses. While the real names of the horses are left in tact in the Japanese versions, the English versions, however, had to change their names into original names to avoid copyright. It’s basically similar to what JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure does in the English versions with the names of characters and Stands being based off musicians and bands. For example, Special Week is called Vivid Legend, Tokai Teio is called Honest Bird, Oguri Cap is called Kramers King, etc.
As for the horses that are actually NOT in Gallop Racer (due to the Gallop Racer series ending after 2006) such as Gold Ship, Kitasan Black, Orfevre, Almond Eye, and Gentildonna, not to worry! Even though it is only exclusive to Gallop Racer 2006, the game features a Simulation Mode that allows you to freely create your own horse in the Horse Editor! You can hold up to 100 created horses in your save file and make your dreams come true! Create an original super horse or recreate a famous or obscure horse, it’s up to you! So I also used this feature for the Uma Musume that are not in Gallop Racer, so now EVERYONE IS TRULY HERE!
In the video you’ll see the real names of the horse along with the Japanese Katakana that comes with it (in case you’re playing Champion Jockey Special or even the Japanese versions of Gallop Racer). Below that is the original names given to the horses in the English versions of Gallop Racer. I also include pictures of the Uma Musume, their appearance in Champion Jockey Special, and the real life counterparts with the small clip of the horse in Gallop Racer.
I might do more videos like this where I include more famous horses outside of Uma Musume that are in Gallop Racer, all of the abilities, every name change involving racetracks and the cups, etc.
