Rules and Explanations
Rules: (1) Only use the one Pokémon in Battle, others for HMs are fine. (2) No Items in battle (3) No Glitches* (4) Set Mode (5) No saving in the Elite Four (6) No evasion moves
*Badge Boost “Glitch” Explanation: When you collect odd numbered badges the game boosts a stat by 12.5%. Brock gives ATK, Surge DEF, Koga SPE, and Blaine SPC (in game text is wrong). When any of your stats are modified (even by you using a move like Withdraw, or your opponent using Leer) the badge boosts are re-applied. So If you use Swords Dance, you also gain *an additional* 12.5% in Speed/Defence/Special (on top of the 12.5% you were supposed to be getting). When you level up, the game corrects this error, and only the non-glitch 12.5% remains. Because of how difficult it is to avoid, I’ve allowed for it to be exploited, since opponents will spam Leer/Growl anyways, and this way battles are less random. Red/Blue are extremely buggy, so there’s always going to be *some* glitches present, and because of how unavoidable this one is, it is allowed in runs, and considered more like a special Generation 1 mechanic as opposed to a glitch.

I enjoy your format, keep it. Other poketubers have the big long hour-2 hour episodes. Yours are digestible on a lunch break(most of the time…lol)

Does Haze remove all badge boosts including the ones you're meant to have?
I would love to see Nidorino and Nidorina go head to head. I’m actually a fan of the longer vids because they’re more gripping! But in the end as the content creator the choice is yours and I’m sure we’ll love the video(s) either way, I know I will!!!
I’m not too big on double episodes – I like each Pokémon having their time in the spotlight, even if they’re very similar to another mon. Regardless, amazing episode as always!

One of these days, because Jrose has played the game so many times, we should quiz him about specific trainers and what their pokemon and movesets are and see if he can remember.

I think I enjoyed the Nidoran double feature quite a bit. Seeing how each of the 2 pokemon handle a section of the game in turn can be really fun.
Vid is kinda old but if you do see this Jrose. I like the long episodes, around an hour. I know its more editing for you and commentary. But its cool to see a lot of what you did; your victory's and loses and how you over came them or the clutch luck, and your insight and comedy that you add to it all. I like seeing how Pokemon I never used fair. I was heavy into Pokemon back in the Gameboy Pocket/Color/Advance/SP days with my friends. So its cool to see someone still smashing on what started it all.
Why Charles for the rival?
I think you might have been a little biased towards nidoqueen and used a better strat. But maybe I’m just biased towards nidoking, being my second favorite Pokémon to only Kadabra. But if you gave nidoking the same calcium boost, plus moves. he would have been as strong as queen in that aspect, plus stronger in his speed and earthquakes. I think it would have changed the outcome. However, enjoy watching your runs

I still think about how poor Nidoran♂ never got to show up in the Hall of Fame. I don't know if you still have that clip saved (if you had it at all), but it would be nice to see him show up somehow, maybe briefly in the Nidorino video.
I am surprised Nidoqueen did better than Nidoking personally though they are both top notch Pokemon. Would like to see you re-do the Gengar run, I think that's got to be the best non Mewtwo Pokemon depending on moveset and stuff

I'm down for anything you decide. If you want to double then double it bb. If you want to do single videos then by all means hit that single. I do like longer videos because I use it when I drive an hour to and from work.
Maybe you should start with male nidoran and exchange for the female with npc
Im not a fan of the Nido's…. I prefer having pokemon with same type bonuses and anti resistance moves. Take Blastoise for example. By far the best starter, it's not even close. He can 1 shot Charizard and Venusaur every time. The Nidos can't learn good Poison moves, all that does is make it get 1 shot by any fully leveled Psychic pokemon cause it will get outsped and out specialed. It obviously has Earthquake to its advantage but, vs a Mewtwo, it wouldn't be able to use it. 1 psychic would 100% kill a Nidoking or Queen in a same level battle, even a level 70 Mewtwo would easily 1 shot a level 100 Nido. I mean, obviously Mewtwo is the best pokemon in Red/Blue. There's not even a semi argument. Nothing is super effective vs Psychic in gen 1 really except leech life which is 20/100.. so it's got no weaknesses. Plus it's always gonna outspeed anything, it's always gonna 1 shot anything that it's super effective against unless it also has amazing special, than 2 shot MAYBE… 154 special…… Psychic, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt. You don't even need the 120 moves. For using in multiplayer obviously you can remove 1 of those 3 moves other than Psychic for Recover. There's other ways to use him as well, like with Barrier or Amnesia. But he really doesnt need Amnesia… But yeah let's be real lol. There isn't a single pokemon that can beat a Mewtwo in level 100 vs level 100 unless someone doesn't know how to play the game or has a terrible moveset, etc. You cant put it to sleep or sand attack or confuse ray or anything because he just 1 shots you.

I think double episodes are fine as long as they're unusual. Don't do one for ever similar pokemon, just occasionally and they'll work just fine. With pokemon that are practically identical (or polar opposites, perhaps)? I think double-features are fine. It's a great way to mix things up.
