VGC Beginner Guide: Eternatus

VGC Beginner Guide: Eternatus

Hello All and welcome back to my series where I do Beginner Guides for Pokémon in relation to VGC to help give new or longtime players a jumping off point for trying new Pokémon out!

This Episode focuses on Eternatus as I breakdown its stats, typing, moves, held items, recent Competitive history, and give my own opinion on competitive builds and how it fares in the current Meta! This video is made in the context of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet VGC, Regulation G and beyond.

Information and graphics used for these videos come from Pokémon Database, LimitlessVGC, Pikalytics, and Showdown.

Let me know what Pokémon you’d like to see next, and as always, thank you for watching!

  1. Eternatus may be fat but he suffers similar problems like mewtwo not being fast enough where 130 just ain’t fast enough anymore to pressure not helping it at all it should be good on paper

  2. Eternatus has my record for most KO's I'm sure. I've been spamming tera poison- choice specs- sludge wave. My poor rillaboom has been a casualty a lot though lol

  3. As someone who hasn’t played the msg since like 03-2004, what’s the difference between base attack/ defense and special attack and special defense??

  4. Loving this series as someone who is attempting to learn competetive pokemon for the first time.

Could we possibly have a video on how to identify threats in the enemy team preview and how to know which pokemon to choose to lead with?

    Thankyou!

  5. I thought a team I saw where Eternatus used Sludge wave next to Tinkaton was really cool. I think Etarnatus even had choice specs on that team, since Tinkaton is one of the fastest Fake Out users. I wonder how viable that one is.
