Hello 🙂 I just got the Goldsymbol in my HG! I was using alot of different Pokemon to figure out the Vibe of the frontier. The pokemon I got gold with were Suicune, Metagross and Salamence. All of which did not have 31 IVs, but rather decent IVs and good natures. My end goal is the 100 win streak. That is to say, I would recommend building a team to learn the weeds of the gen 4 tower. Off of that Knowledge you could min max your final team.

wow I didn't know about that Masuda Method thing, looked it up and apparently it's only in Gen4 – That's so weird!
I love the form factor of those Japanese books, wish they did the English ones in those size and in hardback.
Is there a guide you follow for IV breeding? I'm starting to get into the Battle Frontier and want to go for good IVs. Is it just as simple as using the IV checker guy at the Battle Frontier and moving the parents around with more and more perfect IVs? Gen 4 breeding is a whole new ballgame compared to newer gens lol

Very nice! I'm currently shiny hunting Lugia on Soul Silver, I'm at 1500 SRs at the moment and when I get it, I'm gonna go straight to grinding my team to lvl 50 for the Elite Four. I Dunno why but I have a lot of fun grinding in HGSS
With the upcoming release of Pokémon Champions, I decided to do something I should have started back when Pokémon Home first released: Prepping all my mons from as early as the GBA era for transfer. I’m going for lots of specifics, namely Pokéballs. To give you an idea, I need to play Heart Gold to get Kyogre in a Lure Ball; I need to get a Shiny Groudon in a Luxury Ball just in case they bring back Primal Reversion. Shiny Groudon is yellow, but Shiny Primal Groudon is black with gold accents.
I guess I’m glad I waited, because now I’ve added a secondary objective, which is to get an appropriate Title for these Pokémon. The various ribbons across the series grant titles that show up in the Gen 9 games, and I suspect they’ll show up in Champions as well. The moment I saw that defeating Red in HGSS grants all party mons “The Living Legend”, I knew I had to lock in and research further. Every Starter is getting that, no questions asked.
– Progress is going well. We’re almost done with the Gen 3 mons. I’ve completed Colosseum, Leaf Green, and Emerald; the last game to replay is XD: Gale of Darkness, which is for the Shadow Dragonite. Purified Shadow Pokémon get “The Triumphant” as their title. Yeah…playing through one of the two most difficult spin-offs just for one Pokémon, but it’s a good time; I forgot how enjoyable Colosseum was.
– One other side objective is completing the Trainer Card for Emerald and Soul Silver. I was one PokéDex entry away from doing so in Emerald as a kid, but then my OG cartridge was stolen, and I just never bothered with the dex again until Violet. Time for a redemption arc? Yeah. It’s time. Maybe use one as the phone’s lock screen and the other as the home screen.
